What will you do?
As Transport Manager at IDS, you will be the link between our customers and the best transport solutions. You work together with a team in which you set the priorities and you and your team ensure that all transport requests; from urgent jobs to specialist assignments, are handled quickly and correctly. Your motivation is to grow your team, always stay in touch with your customers and optimise processes.
You are in charge of drawing up tariff sheets and preparing them for recording in our Transport Management System. With us, you also always get scope for additional responsibilities, such as career management or quality management. In addition, with us, you also get access to the Goodhabitz learning platform to keep developing yourself further. You will perform these tasks from our beautiful office in De Meern.

As Transport Manager, you and your team determine priorities and ensure that questions are dealt with quickly and correctly. You are in constant dialogue with customers about their transport needs, regular transports, rush orders and specific transport issues and you look for the best solutions within our network and otherwise outside it. You are also actively involved in optimising processes and coaching your team.
Periodically, you create rate sheets for shippers and our carriers based on our customers’ cargo flows and ensure that these are prepared for recording in our Transport Management System (TMS). You are leading in this. You also ensure that, for example, diesel oil surcharges are determined, communicated to carriers and shippers and recorded. Searching for efficiency and immersing yourself in the customer’s cargo flows and the partners’ specialities is what it’s all about.
